Bluetooth Wirless Headsets: Everyones Favorite Innovation

By Oscar S. Cartwright

Technological advancements are very rarely leaps and bounds away from the competition. Often times electronic companies will pass on a simple add on as a new feature. But one advancement that changed the way we communicate is Bluetooth wireless capability. Not only has it done that but the Bluetooth wireless headset can be beneficial for everyday use.

Bluetooth technology has been around since the late 90s. In 1998 various companies decided to come together and form the latest advancement in telecommunications. The Bluetooth Special Interest Group was formed (SIG) was formed by the merger of Ericsson, Intel, Toshiba, IBM, and Nokia. The unusual name is paying tribute to where the company was founded. It was formed in Scandinavia and they decided to name it after one of the more well known Danish Kings Harald Bluetooth from the 10th century. They chose his name because he unified Scandinavia during a time of war and unrest. The Bluetooth device similarly aimed to combine various services and capabilities into one small electronic device.

Bluetooth wireless capabilities are one of the most recent additions to telecommunications. Bluetooth enables its users to wirelessly link up two devices utilizing short range radio frequencies. The frequencies allows its users a range of anywhere between 30 to up to 100 feet in most recent models. Bluetooth linkage is so simplistic with its applications that is has become the standard format for all wireless functionality in electronic devices.

There are many advantages to using a Bluetooth wireless headset. First of all there is a strict ban on talking on a cell phone while driving a car. It is illegal and you can be fined if an officer catches you in the act. If you do not own a Bluetooth headset you will have to pull over and park your car or wait until you arrive at your destination to use your phone. If the person on the other line has important news (or if you have to share important information with them) this can be a problem. But it isnt illegal to answer calls that are relayed to your Bluetooth headset.

Also if you are performing an important task that needs your undivided attention speaking on the phone will impede your progress. Not only will you be distracted you will also lose the use of one hand since you have to hold the phone to your ear. With a headset youll be able to answer your phone and continue working without any hesitation.

The Bluetooth wireless headset has changed the face of all telecommunications technology. It is a recent invention that revolutionized many businesses for the new millennium.
