The Truth Behind Mobile Phones

By Ben Latsky

These days, a lot of people are purchasing mobile phones especially the younger generations. In fact, almost half of the mobile phone users in Britain are mostly teens. They use these gadgets mainly for socialization purposes.

Although technology improves our lives, it sometimes makes us lazy or even worst. They influence us on our judgment and the way we treat other people. And it seems we are just letting these things to happen because these things bring us comfort and ease in our daily lives. Not so long ago, we used to do things manually. But with the technology we have now, it is hard for us to do things the old way. However, these circumstances are just normal to us adults, but the thing that disturbs me most is when children start to copy our movements and activities.

Mobile phones are a big part of our lives. Through these ingenious creations, we've been able to simplify the process of communication and shorten distances between correspondents. As a result, transactions are easily made and business processes are overseen without any difficulty. CEOs can check up on their respective companies even on a business trip in the same manner parents do with their children. Some contemporary phones have the capacity to incorporate different software and programs in their system, so users have the advantage of downloading and using work-related or recreational applications on their phone.

But with these amenities, people tend to be careless in interacting with others. Some individuals are already open to intimate relationships thru text and calls made thru mobile phones. Relatively, other people also thinks that text and call are already enough to sustain relationships with their significant others; while others are also contented in "text mates" as an alternative for social interaction or socialization. These are just some of the issues we face if we rely too much in these gadgets.

Now aside from this, health issues were also raised in relation to chronic cell phone use. Though there are still no conclusive findings about this theory, several medical practitioners agree that the electromagnetic fields emitted by cell phones progressively cause brain trauma which will manifest as tumors or Alzheimer.

Despite these negative effects, mobile phones still brings us more good than harm. The above situation and examples are merely references for future consideration. Undeniably, the benefits we reap from these high-tech gadgets are simply far to great to relinquish. So while most consumers are still finding relevance in these gadgets, and more fields consider them useful; the mobile phone industry is only set to grow powerful in the coming years.

To put things straight, upon choosing a mobile phone, always consider your needs, purpose and intent in order to avoid grief in the end.
