The Big Question Is How Do We Save Cash On Our Cell Phone Service

By Brian J Williams

You might ask how can I spend less on my cell phone because you are about to have it shut off. It is a privilege to have one and you want to make sure that you have it for use when outside of your home. But you also need to be realistic about your budget and see what you can do to minimize your expenditures.

You need to look at what you are spending monthly on your bill. If many of these are calls to information then perhaps you should be a little smarter about that. Find out ahead of time if possible where you are going and look it up. Ask for a number instead of calling information.

Other applications are also an added expense to your phone. If you download a lot of songs to have them on your phone maybe you need to cut back. You don't have to have cool ring back tone and just a regular ring. You don't need that new game on your phone. There are so many was you can spend less on my cell phone and things you can control regarding spending that make a bill spike.

Have you bundled your phones if you have more than one? This is smart and keeps your minutes under control. If you have kids that eat the minutes set a limit. If they break it take their phone. After the screaming stops they need to realize that it is an expense and they need to help stay in budget too. Teaching them good spending habits is part of your job as a parent.

Are you in a position that maybe you should get out of your contract? It is possible and may be beneficial in the long run. Get a pre-paid phone if you cannot afford a monthly charge and only use your phone when you absolutely need it.

Evaluate your bill and what you are paying. Cut anything that is not absolutely necessary and see what you can live without. Avoid downloading apps you cannot afford and let the contract go if you can't afford the bills. All together you can make a dent and spend less on your cell phone service and stay in budget.
