Introducing the Panasonic Viera TX-L37S10

By Elsie Barton

Panasonic TX-L37S10, the entry level HD from Panasonic, appears to have been receiving contradicting reviews. However, as one takes a closer look at its features and specifications, there is no doubt that this new model from Panasonic is indeed great value for money. First, for an entry-level model that has full HD capabilities, it is competitively priced.

Let us take a look at some TX-L37S10 details. Diagonal measurement gives you thirty-seven inches of viewing screen. Capable of rendering 1080p HD video input, it is excellent for Hi Definition content viewing. Playing games from PS3 and the like will make one realise the value of the TX-L37S10.

Although some may think that the absence of the latest 100 hz processor is a setback, serious gamers see it as a real advantage. Compared to the other models that are higher end, the new Panasonic TX-L37S10 has less motion lag because the processor is not too fast.

There are complaints about the colour reproduction TX-L37S10 manual setting not being available from its onscreen menu. Panasonic makes up for it with high contrast ratio. In reality, however, the average person may not even notice that deficit. Even if one notices the lack of that option, it may not really matter at all.

To compensate for the missing onscreen menu option for colour reproduction, TX-L37S10 users will be very happy about its 50,000 to 1 high contrast ratio. Viewing any content using the HD mode gives one the true sense of satisfaction that only a hd TV television can give. Use the close up function to see the minutest details.

If there should be one important thing this TX-L37S10 TV does not have, it is high quality sound reproduction. This, however, is acceptable given that it is not a high-end model. Built in surround sound systems are usually just expected in the more expensive high-end TVs. Of course, this is not without remedy. The manufacturer did include RCA output jacks that can help if one wishes to add a home theatre system.

One can input SCART, S Video, HDMI and Composite. If you have any external device with media you would like to see on your TV, this Panasonic TX-L37S10 TV has an SD slot that allows you do so.

Just like in its other releases in the Panasonic S10 series, the company has used IPS Alpha technology for the TX-L37S10 LCD TV panel. With its 178 degree viewing angle, this new comer in the full HD scene makes the picture appear sharper, even from extremely wide angles.

All in all, if one is in the market for an entry level 37 inch viewable television, one could do far worse than buy a Panasonic Viera TX-L37S10. For the price, it is an exceptionally good value that performs far and away better than most other comparably priced TVs. Any shortcomings one might spot are not really shortcomings when considers realistically that this is an entry level television set. Those who wish for more options to calibrate the colours themselves or faster processing speeds will simply have to look at a more expensive set. This does quite well for what it is intended, better than most.
