Synching MeetingMaker to the Mac is Now Possible

By Thom Yarbrough

Since those industrious computer nerds, Steve 'the Woz' Wozniak and Steve Jobs rocked the computer world in 1984 with their Macintosh computer, the world has been crazy about the Mac. Since then, Mac users and PC users have evolved into two warring camps, but nobody will deny that the Macintosh is great.

PC aficionados might not love the Macintosh, but they have to admit that Macintosh is one of the most respected companies in the world. The Apple iPhone, also a Mac product, is one of the most popular smart-phones available. But some users aren't satisfied with Apple's iSync, which synchronizes their iPhone to their other devices. If you're trying to sync Apple's OS X Address Book or iCal, iSync works okay. But if you're trying to sync contacts, task and calendars from Meeting Maker, it doesn't work.

Now the good news is that someone has come up with synching that takes over where iSync leaves off. The company is PocketMac and their synching system is PocketMac GoBetween for Meeting Maker. With this program, there's no re-keying of calendar and contact information from MeetingMaker into your Apple device. And it's automatically updated and synched both ways every time.

This is the first program that will sync all of your data from Meeting Maker to all Macintosh devices, including the iPhone.

PocketMac is run by brothers Tim and Terrance Goggin. They're complete Macintosh fanatics. With close to ten years in business, the PocketMac team has devised some great Mac applications, including programs for synchronizing the Macintosh to other devices. Their Meetingmaker synching application is great for synching data from Meeting Maker to the iPhone. PocketMac GoBetween for Meeting Maker gives you total 2-way synching for your iPhone and other devices. It requires version 8.5 or higher and Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.
