The Panasonic TX-L37V10 - A First Look

By Jason Drift

Panasonic's latest HD ready TV, the Panasonic TX-L37V10 ensures that Panasonic are competing with the best in the business. All the quality you would expect with a Panasonic product with all the tricks and gadgets you would expect from a state of the art product.

Not even a year old and the Panasonic already has 5 awards to its name, the What video and Hi-Def TV's best buy and What video and Hi-Def TV's best 27" TV of the year to name a couple. With the specification of the TX-L37V10 TV it's not hard to see why.

As mentioned earlier the TX-L37V10 TV has HD as standard and to compliment this is the addition of a freesat tuner and a digital tuner, as if being able to view HD quality programs wasn't enough. With a screen size of 37" coupled with an aspect ratio of 16:9 many of you may already be sold however there is much more. A 178 degree viewing angle ensures nobody misses out on the action.

With features like motion focus technology and intelligent frame creation it is no wonder that this Panasonic Viera TX-L37V10 TV provides an excellent viewing experience every time. The motion focus technology ensures sharper edge detail and finer contrast comparison, whilst the intelligent frame creation creates twice as many frames per second as most conventional TV's so that action scenes are more fluent and less jerky.

The TV boasts a 24p Playback and 24p Smooth film feature which ensures your HD film experience is at its very best. Its deep colour panel ensures that you are able to distinguish between even the darkest of blacks.

Not only are you provided with a TV that produces stunning visual effects but Panasonic provide you with an audio set-up that delivers a punch. V-audio ProSurround has been utilised to excellent effect ensuring that those without 5. 1 surround sound can still experience a similar experience. However for those with surround sound systems don't be alarmed as the Panasonic TX-L37V10 is also designed for you with a Dolby digital plus connection for high quality 5. 1 surround sound.

Alongside the usual connections, scart, RCA and S-video. The Panasonic TX-L37V10 also contains 4HDMI connections 3 on the back 1 on the side in case a friend brings around his PS3, a PC input for media streaming and a LAN connection for surfing the internet if nothing on the TV interests you.

The TX-L37V10 has built in codec's that allow the playback of DivX media so there is no need for time consuming media conversions. Add to this a dedicated Game mode ensuring the best possible game play is achieved thanks to auto detection features. This TV does not seem to disappoint. If you're playing your game and have got stuck don't panic you can open up multiple windows and search online for a walk through guide. Easy!

To compliment the picture viewer the Panasonic Viera TX-L37V10 TV can be wall mounted or placed on a stand. My recommendation is to go for the wall mount as this elegant TV should take centre piece in room. Not only is it a TV when your vegging out but when you have guests it can become the focal point of conversation whilst displaying photos of your loved ones or just yourself!

The Panasonic TX-L37V10 costs from around 800 pounds And also comes with a 5 year warranty to give you piece of mind that if something should happen Panasonic will be on hand to help fix the issue. All in all a very good piece of kit.
